Since 2014 Christian Brensing has been visiting the Middle East annually. Foremost he attended the BIG 5 Global in Dubai, the largest and most influential construction industry event in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region.

Setting a historic record, Big 5 Global taking place in December 2023 has achieved its highest attendance ever, with over 81,000 participants representing 166 countries. The 44th edition has received very positive industry feedback and solidifying its position as the leading event for construction. Josine Heijmans, Vice President - Construction, dmg events, the organizers of BIG 5 Global found encouraging words: "BIG 5 Global has become a dynamic catalyst for the full construction value-chain, from inception to commissioning and management."

Throughout his visits to the Middle East Christian Brensing has travelled the Gulf region and reviewed such large scale construction sites as the World Expo 2020 Dubai, The Sustainable City which is the first operational Net Zero Energy city in Dubai, Masdar City the economic, environmental and social sustainable city project in Abu Dhabi, or the stadium projects of the 22nd FIFA World Cup, the world championship for national football teams, in Qatar.
